Diver Dan, the brand new game from long-time independent developer, The Games Page, was recently released for the Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad.
The game’s touch-screen controls allow players to move the scuba diver, Diver Dan, as he rises and sinks. Dan must collect valuable pieces of gold and jewels floating throughout the ocean, all while he avoids dangerous sharks, swordfish, and squids. Players must also be cautious of the legendary, Great Red Fish, the most dangerous fish in the ocean! Players will compete for the highest score, and can even see where they rank against the rest of the world on The Games Page’s brand new online scoreboards.
Diver Dan is the first release from The Games Page for Apple’s iOS since 2009′s Hurdler. After a brief hiatus from publishing to mobile platforms, The Games Page has reinvented its image and re-established its commitment to producing quality, entertaining games for all platforms.
Previously, The Games Page, founded by Gary Gasko and Edward Coyle of Cinnaminson, NJ, released a multitude of freeware entertainment for the Windows platform that received much praise from the indie-gaming community. The Games Page has won multiple awards on The Daily Click’s Game of The Week feature, and been noted on several independent gaming blogs. The Games Page has also been featured in German gaming magazine, Bravo Screenfun.
The Games Page will release multiple games for iOS, as well as for web browsers on Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux operating systems during the last part of 2011 and will continue to release casual and hardcore games on these and other platforms in 2012.
