Streaming like a River!

Gary, Bill & I love streaming content from the interwebs.  We would much rather do that than watch a dumb-old TV show.  We watch all kinds of things, but mostly our streaming tastes lie with those playing some of our favorite games.  We watch a lot of Starcraft and Smash Bros streams.  Not gonna lie.

This got us thinking… “Why aren’t WE streaming our favorite things to the public?!”  So this past weekend, among some good friends and good beer, we set up our own streaming channel on JustinTV/Twitch under the handle “tGpGunner”.  If you tune in from time to time, Gary, Bill, or myself might be streaming some live TGP-gameplay – either of our own games, or someone elses.  When we aren’t crafting our own games for you to play, we play a lot of Smash Bros, Call of Duty, and Starcraft.

If you’re bored and want to stalk us, make sure you watch our past videos, or catch our livestreams:  http://www.twitch.tv/tGpGunner.  We plan on trying to do one tomorrow night (Saturday, February 18 around 8:30 PM EST), that will probably feature some Starcraft.  Hopefully Gary will be up for showing off his skill in one of our TGP favorites, like Click Copter or Cave Jumper.

For now though, I highly recommend viewing Mojang’s stream, as Notch and the Minecraft crew are making a game in 48-hours for charity, and streaming the fruits of their labor to the public!  http://www.humblebundle.com/?mojam

Diver Dan Flash wins The Daily Click’s Game of the Week!

Albeit a bit of controversy over the entrants, Diver Dan has placed first in the latest running for the Game of the Week (GOTW) award over at The Daily Click!  Visitors of the site rated Diver Dan the highest in a poll of games that were released over the previous week or two.  We’re really proud to have won this competition.  Thanks to everyone at The Daily Click who voted for us!

Exciting Developments: Full Online Assault

Tentatively titled “Alien Gunner: Full Assault”, which can considered the third iteration in the Alien Gunner series, is another project currently in the works.  An exciting new development is the ability to play 2 player coop online mode.  Each player just needs to sign in and type in the name of the player they want to play with, and The Games Page will take care of the rest!

Alien Gunner: Full Assault is set to hit Flash and iOS late 2011 or early 2012.  Stay tuned!

Games in the works!

One of our goals for The Games Page is to release 5-10 games on the AppStore by the end of 2012.  Diver Dan is the first of many fun games we want to bestow upon the world of mobile gaming, and only represents a small taste of the action.

Following this goal, we currently have two games that are nearing release for both Flash and iOS.  One of these two games is an oldie but goody.  A challenging puzzle game entitled Laser Frenzy!  Laser Frenzy was released some time ago for windows but is being re-mastered for Flash and iOS.  The object was to blast the yellow eye twice on each stage using the laser puzzle elements.  This game will really twist your mind and challenge your logic!

The second game is Find the Lucky Spot.  A casual casino game with a lucky twist!  Find the Lucky Spot in 20 unique areas and claim your fame with the high score.  Really fun to play on the iOS devices!

Expect these next two games by the end of November, early December.

The Games Page Proudly Releases Diver Dan For Apple iOS Devices

Diver Dan

Diver Dan - The Games Page

Diver Dan, the brand new game from long-time independent developer, The Games Page, was recently released for the Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad.

The game’s touch-screen controls allow players to move the scuba diver, Diver Dan, as he rises and sinks. Dan must collect valuable pieces of gold and jewels floating throughout the ocean, all while he avoids dangerous sharks, swordfish, and squids. Players must also be cautious of the legendary, Great Red Fish, the most dangerous fish in the ocean! Players will compete for the highest score, and can even see where they rank against the rest of the world on The Games Page’s brand new online scoreboards.

Diver Dan is the first release from The Games Page for Apple’s iOS since 2009′s Hurdler.  After a brief hiatus from publishing to mobile platforms, The Games Page has reinvented its image and re-established its commitment to producing quality, entertaining games for all platforms.

Previously, The Games Page, founded by Gary Gasko and Edward Coyle of Cinnaminson, NJ, released a multitude of freeware entertainment for the Windows platform that received much praise from the indie-gaming community.  The Games Page has won multiple awards on The Daily Click’s Game of The Week feature, and been noted on several independent gaming blogs.  The Games Page has also been featured in German gaming magazine, Bravo Screenfun.

The Games Page will release multiple games for iOS, as well as for web browsers on Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux operating systems during the last part of 2011 and will continue to release casual and hardcore games on these and other platforms in 2012.

Getting Diver Dan ready for iOS

Diver Dan running on iPod Touch

We are currently working to get Diver Dan ready for iOS launch.   This means that in the near future you’ll be able to play Diver Dan on iPods, iPhones, and iPads!  We’ll let you know when it’s available on the AppStore.  The price point will probably be $1 so it’s accessible to as many people as possible.  This mobile version still allows you to log in and submit scores so you’ll always be connected to the action!
