We’ve always operated out of our home town of Cinnaminson, New Jersey, USA — and occasionally other spots around South and Central New Jersey. We were founded by Gary Gasko (KNPMASTER) and Edward Coyle (MasterRaichu) way back in our middle school days, and have come to be well-liked and respected mostly by word-of-mouth of our familes and friends. Along the way, we’ve picked up a handful of helpful partners, such as Andrew Korn (the business guy), Bill Moran (the music guy), Phil Stroffolino (the Mac guy) and of course, plenty of BETA testers, whom we’ve found through friends and our small, loyal fanbase in our forums.
So, what are our qualifications as game designers? Well, for starters, we’ve won a few awards. We’ve placed first quite a few times on The Daily Click’s Game of The Week, which rates the click community’s favorite games, with awards for Super Bubble Blob, Alien Gunner, Cave Jumper, Rabbit Stew, Alien Assault, and most recently, Click Copter 2009. Also, we placed first in the Total-Klik’s mascot game competition with Rippin’ Wheelz. In addition to “click” awards, our most recent entry into the Retro Remakes 2008 competition won its category for “Sequels That Weren’t”. That game was an unfinished version of Kung Fu 2. Setting aside awards, our challenging games seem to generate tons of popularity. One of our older games, Gunner 3, was downloaded over 2 million times during its life on the once free-to-use CNET Download.com. It was also featured in the German magazine ScreenFun, along side of the original Hurdler and Super Bubble Blob. For all of these games, you can find numerous skills videos and runthroughs on Youtube.
So what else makes us game designers? Maybe the fact that we just love games! We’re always trying something different, be it console, PC, handheld, billiards and poker, or that damn Namco Flaming Finger at Dave & Busters… but that’s besides the point. We’ve been known to play in game tournaments, live and via the internet, and we’re always up for a game of Smash or two. Not only do we love playing games, but we tend to get together as a group and debate what makes the games good or bad, and what we would do to improve those games, given the chance. We use the sum of our gaming experiences to produce the quality games that we present to the world. That’s something that any industry could use these days.
So what’s in the future for us? We intend on keeping up with today’s technologies and platforms, and starting to expand game development on these platforms. As we are doing now with the iPhone/iPod Touch, you will soon be playing TGP games on many more platforms than just the PC. Gaming is the ever-growing future of entertainment, and we want to be a driving force behind it. We love what we do, and think we do a pretty good job of it. Hopefully you do as well, and you’ll keep supporting us with your fandom.
